Well, I don't know if it'll help, but you're not alone. My brain is enveolped in a dense fog, and the meds only seem to make it worse. I've had enough tea and honey for a family of 4, and have slept and slept and slept.

I despise being sick and so not being able to do the stuff I want/need/like to do.

Get well!

Thanks, Chel. Tea and back to bed: good advice, and well taken. I guess I was just trying to say that being sick is crappy in that it takes away things I usually like to be able to feel good about.

PS I am sorry if I said "maternal figure" that seemed too impersonally broached.

Sounds like you need to give in to your body's needs, stop trying to read, get rest, and recuperate.

You're always preaching about gender bias. Well, if you were a woman, I'd advise an hour under the covers after your potential rising, and a bath in the morning. 20 minutes. Send someone for peppermint salts or oil and if you can't, get them for next time. And if you have anything that belonged to a maternal figure, put it on or wrap yourself w/it if it be an afghan or something of that nature. Then drink your favorite tea while surrounded.

I suspect you don't need my advice. I hope you feel better soon.
